Everbody has an opinion on what diets really work and which ones don't work, they also share opinions on how to exercise and what helps or doesn't help at all. I am here to tell you the truth about diet and exercise, and the first step to take is :
STOP LISTENING TO EVERYBODY ELSE ABOUT WHAT WORKS !
The fact is, what works for one doesn't automatically work for somebody else. The only truth behind diet and exercise playing a huge role in your life is you have to make healthier food choices and exercise regularly to keep your body functioning at optimum levels. There are no " magic pills or diets " that will make you skinny and last forever ! Sure, many people use such diets to get to their goal weight, but after they reach this … they either stay on that diet forever, or they learn to eat healthy and make healthier lifestyle changes.
Lifestyle changes is where it all begins … learning to make healthier food choices and include exercise in your daily routine 3 to 5 times a week is the only key to success. And yes, walking is exercise ! Many folks have lost a ton of weight and kept it off by simply going for a walk a few times a week, or do it everyday if you love it like I do ! Exercise should be something you enjoy … walking, biking, swimming, spinning, roller skating … etc. When we force ourselves to do the latest hype of exercise and we despise it, it's never going to last nor work for you. People often forget that mental health is just as important as physical health and in some cases stress is often the leading factor to many illnesses that destroy healthy bodies. Finding your enjoyment in making these changes is very important to finding your happiness and living life the way it was meant to be lived … HAPPY !
It is very important to know that what you choose to eat will determine your overall health. You might be thinking about that skinny person who eats fast food every day and is super thin … well, newsflash : Skinny people aren't always healthy people ! The general public are dazed and confused about appearance … thinking that how good somebody looks, is how good they must feel inside … this is the biggest misconception there is !
The simple solution to all the confusion about what works and what doesn't work is to just keep it simple. Healthy eating and regular exercise will work just as good, if not better than any " quick fix " regimen on the market ! You don't have to spend thousands of dollars, nor do you need to workout for countless hours every day … just get in the mindset and think " SIMPLE ". You can still enjoy your favorite foods … in moderation. You can walk, dance or run your way to a healthy heart and body … or you can do whatever you fancy that gets your heart pumping ! Just get up and get moving !
